NASA’s Astrobee Robot

As my graduate research project, I collaborated with the NASA’s Ames robotics group to design the gripper for the robot. The purpose of the project is to create a compliance gripper that can has the ability to pick up different objects for the Astronauts. My responsibilities for this project is to create mechanical prototypes and perform the necessary calculations to ensure all requirements were met. The robots was sent into space in the year 2019. Below is a video of the robot.
